My deepest sympathy to Harriet's family. I have wonderful memories of a kind, deeply caring Harriet, who always listened and offered the best advice. She was such a terrific person!

So sorry to hear this news. Harriet was a good friend and confidant to whoever had a need. I often quote from one of the posters on her wall: I will not should on myself today. That one statement has helped me get through many stressful moments! My sincere condolences and love to her family. I know she treasured each of you.

I worked with Harriet at Atkinson Middle School. She was always cheering for a kid. She loved Toni Morrison books and always had one tucked under her arm. I believe I went to her home in Flushing - in my old neighborhood. I remember her so fondly! Sending my condolences to her family!
