We lived opposite Joan & Donald for 34 years until we moved away almost 7 years ago. They weren't just neighbors but friends who were always ready to help out, offer assistance, look out after our house when we were away. Always friendly and smiling. Kept in touch for some time after we moved. Very special people. Spoke to Joan after Donald passed.So sorry to hear the sad news about Joan. May she RIP.

Dear Kathy and Donald, I worked with your mom at Sterns and she was my best friend there. Gosh could we laugh. Lunch almost every day together during those times. Then later visits at your mom and dad's house. So many memories. I moved south and still there are so many days that happen when I think of your mom, like today when I searched for her name and instead found that she had passed. The world will be a sadder place with out her in it. ~debra

Mrs. Schulze (Don's Mom) was always a ray of sunshine. Fall, winter, spring, whenever I knocked on the door (which was EVERY day) Mom Schulze always answered before Don was ready. There was always that smile, no matter what, every morning. I'll always remember that, one of those things that nothing can take away from me, one of the true joys of my childhood. A Special Lady...and one who I'll miss.
