To my son's and grandchildren, Pop Pop and I had many good years together and produced three wonderful son's. He passed along a strong work ethic and love for outdoor sports. He taught me so much and together we shared a love of home and family. I'm sorry and very saddened the good Lord took him so young. I will miss his phone calls.

"POP POP". That's what everyone called him, family or not, because he always made you feel like family. I've never met a man his age with such a, let's say, up to date sense of humor. He never missed a beat. Part of the fun in going out on the boat with Timmy and Tyler was seeing pop pop before and after. He always had great stories to tell, some of which are not for posting (haha), but if you knew him you knew he'd always get you to smile. A great man who will always be missed.

Pop Pop was my best friend. It's going to be so hard without your smile and laughs but our family is so strong and we're going to get through this for you. Thanks for everything you've taught me Timmy and Tyler. I am so proud to call you my Pop Pop. "You're the best".

I have a lot of great memories of Pop Pop. But the thing I will most remember is his smile! He was always happy and it was always a pleasure talking with him at all the family events. He will be missed very much. My heart is breaking for his wonderful Phillips family.
