Aunt Terry was a fabulous sister To my mother Rosanne, a wonderful aunt to Caroline, Margaret, and me, and godmother to Caroline. We would usually stay at Aunt Terry’s house when my Mom would come home to New York to visit. She was my mothers little sister, and my mom would always say how kind she was and how no one could ever be upset with Terry. She was also one of the fabulous Donnelly sisters, who could all talk for hours and hours on the telephone-and many of us have apparently inherited this trait- who always brought sweets when they got together, and who only became cuter as they aged. It was a special pleasure to visit with her at Christmas time last year and talk about the memories like the time in 1951 when she took the train from New York all the way to Norfolk Virginia to see my mom and her new baby. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye but also with the hope that the spirits of the Donnelly sisters are now reunited.

I have many fond memories Of my childhood visiting and staying with Aunt Terry for a week at a time to play with my cousins. I remember them saying here comes the wild ones. Being raised in Parkchester and not allowed to do very many fun things when we got to Aunt Terry‘s we all let loose. Riding bicycles rollerskating and running all around outside. It was the best week my brother and i always had. I remember the many gatherings Aunt Terry and uncle Rocco would come to my house for my girls birthday parties and just to have a barbecue with my mom and aunt Agnes. As time went on I remember the fun memories I had visiting with her in Florida and taking her to the beach and shopping and then we would have a bite to eat together. I really enjoyed our time together and listening to her stories of our family. I will miss her tremendously. May you Rest In Peace Aunt Terry.
