Aunt Vi and Uncle Jim were very special to me. They were my godparents and always showed me so much love. I have many great memories of picnics all together at different places on LI. He played Santa Claus for me at 106th St when I was 2 1/2 and he was a great Santa! I believed until 8 yrs old and had to be told Santa was a myth. I remember countless holidays together; besides the food there was always music and dancing! It’s so sad to think they are gone, and even though they had a wonderful life and lived to their mid-90s, it’s still hard to let them go. Can’t tell you how good it was to see all of you and reminisce about a very special couple and our wonderful childhood gatherings. Romesh and I send you our deepest sympathy

Some of my favorite memories are dancing in our basements with our father's/uncles playing music. Also, stopping by their house in Flushing with me, Aunt Josephine and Christopher, after planting flowers on my father's grave, and having Uncle Jim bring out all the army toys for Chris to play with...very special times.

May Uncle Jim and Aunt Viola rest in peace, and know how much our family treasured all our family gatherings and great times together. Unfortunately, I will be in CA but Marty will be here to celebrate their lives. To my cousins, know you are all in my prayers and how hard it is for me not to be able to be there to comfort you and to celebrate their lives with laughter and love. Love you all Carol
